Partner with Us on a Ticketed Taking Root Screening
Taking Root is VietLead’s community-produced, award-winning documentary series, which amplifies the untold stories of Vietnamese, Cambodian, and Laotian refugee Philadelphians who resettled in the city after the U.S. Wars in Southeast Asia (commonly known as the “Vietnam War”). It highlights the intergenerational impact of structural violence and demonstrates the power of Southeast Asians in resisting and rebuilding in America.
We are currently searching for individuals and organizations to partner with us and host ticketed screenings of Taking Root with proceeds to support VietLead’s work.
Get involved in your job’s corporate charitable giving initiatives! While you should inquire with your employer, as policies vary by company, the general steps are as follows:
Submit a match request to your employer, indicating you want your donation matched. Note: Because VietLead is fiscally sponsored by CEPEF, you will need to enter CEPEF’s EIN (84-3636499) or name—Center for Empowered Politics Education Fund—to find VietLead as a project under CEPEF. If there is not that option, put it in the notes or message VietLead directly to inquire.
You, as an employee of your company, donates to VietLead as a qualified nonprofit organization.
Your company matches your donation, often on a dollar-for-dollar basis but sometimes at a higher ratio!
VietLead receives both your original donation and the company's matching gift.
